These Floating Tank De-icers with automatic shut off systems have thermostatic control coupled with thermal feedback which protects the unit from overheating. Positioning the thermostat above the heating element ensures safety in low water conditions. The float is completely enclosed in a rugged plastic housing and will not sink over time. The Heating element is made of strong durable stainless steel and comes with a 6-foot cord. UL, CSA Listed. 1500-watt, 120-volt.
