Diatomaceous Earth is an effective and safe way to control a large number of crawling and ground moving household and garden pests including earwigs, millipedes, silverfish, cockroaches, ants, centipedes, fleas, carpet beetles and other crawling insects. A long-lasting organic pest control product, Diatomaceous earth is sprinkled into cracks and crevices where bugs hide and on surfaces where they travel. Insect Stop is considered 'food-grade' with 93% purity.
Made from ground fossil shells, diatomaceous earth is safe for organic gardening. The long-lasting powder pierces the skin of crawling insects or, if ingested, their internal organs, causing dehydration and death.
For Indoor Use
Earwigs, Millipedes, Centipedes, Silverfish, Cockroaches, Ants:
Lightly coat a thin layer of Diatomaceous earth in the area where these pests are found or may hide such as cracks and crevices, behind and beneath refrigerators, cabinets, stoves, garbage cans, and in and around sewer pipes and drains, window frames and in attics and basements. Dust insects directly if possible. Repeat treatment regularly.
Fleas:
Thoroughly treat floor and bedding in and around pets' sleeping quarters. Treat surround cracks and crevices, baseboards, carpeting, and wherever fleas are suspected.
Carpet Beetles:
Dust along baseboards, carpet edges, under carpeting, furniture, in closets and shelving where these insects are seen or suspected.
For Outdoor Use
Ants, Cockroaches, Earwigs, and other crawling insects:
Lightly coat a thin layer of Diatomaceous earth in areas where these insect pests are found, such as patios, window and door frames, outdoor sills. Dust along foundations, along ant trails, and around sewer pipes and drains. Repeat treatment as necessary.
