Woodpecker Suet Nuggets is a ready-to-feed wild bird food with a high-energy suet base, processed further into a soft nugget appealing to suet-, insect-, and fruit-eating songbirds, made from corn, roasted peanuts, rendered beef suet, raisins, and soy oil, packaged in a resealable bag.

A Close Sibling of the Peanut-Flavoured Nuggets

This nugget shares almost the same purpose as the Peanut-Flavoured Suet Nuggets already in this catalog: giving birds that won't cling to a suet feeder, cardinals especially, the benefits of suet by mixing it into a regular seed feeder. The recipe is nearly identical too, minus the oats found in the peanut-flavoured version. Unlike a plain suet cake, this one is processed into a soft nugget specifically, making it easy for a wider range of songbirds to eat.

How to Feed It

It works alone on a platform feeder, or in a nugget/peanut/sunflower feeder using 1/3-inch wire mesh. It can also be mixed with 5–10 lbs of your favorite wild bird seed and fed from a tube or hopper style feeder, whether you're a serious birder or just getting started.
